An attempt to reacht the moon. In the wise words of JFK, “We choose to go to the moon” a self-furfilling prophecy. By his words a whole nation starts beliveing in that that goal wat reachable. As a human being we all see the moon as a magical place, a place that look out of reach, just like our high set goals. We always make attemps to reach this. Perhaps in vain.

Visual representation of the search for happiness with 7 made up “zodiac signs” the respresent 7 neurotransmitters and hormones that are proven to increase our mental state and let us experiance a bliss. The symbols are chosen by  people in the area of rooendaal by a questionnaire.

The mural is generously supported by Cultuur Verbindt Roosendaal and Alwel.

The work is a referencing the local area with the symbolism of astronomy and star constellations. The “zodiac” signs reference 7 neurotransmitters and hormones that are proven to experience happiness. Trough a survey in the neighborhood people could choose 7 symbols out of 28 that were designed for the final work.
